Default Help I made a mistake

I accidentally promted a person to guild leader of my guild and he hasn't logged on for over a week. How can I get my guild back if this guy doesn't come back or decides to be an arse? I have screenshots of when i promoted him and it says he was promoted by me.....Any suggestions on what i should do....would hate to have to buy all the upgrades for a different guild.

Thanks

Aaron

Sadly, there isen't much you can do, apart from contacting him trough the game. Just make a new guild...I know its painful.

Rumor has it that if the guild leader doesn't logon for 3 months the longest serving officer is made leader. Long wait though, and that is completely unconfirmed.

Waiting 3 months is a bit long if that is true, I would say remake the whole guild.

That's true. It happened in our (tiny) guild, when the leader and I took a 6 month pause due to school and work. Another officer had been promoted to leader since neither of us had been online.

Don't remake it Anet can fix it if you email them...same thing happened to my old guild, the leader got kind of drunk and accidently made an inactive person leader. She emailed Anet and they fixed it

This is absolutely true. In my small guild I was the only active player and one day I logged in to find that I was the Guild Leader. Looking further into the log it said "Automatically Promoted by Guild Wars".

Three months probably is too long to wait in the case of the OP though.
